Sony sold it’s Cell Chip business to Toshiba

Sony has sold it’s billion dollar cell chip business to Toshiba after months of speculation. The deal will be finalized before Toshiba can officially operate facilities and production. There is a joint venture between the two giants however, on silicon semi conductors; a main ingredient in the creation of cell chips. So in part, Toshiba’s newly acquired business of cell chip production will be shared by Sony.
Nice - selling your business without completely severing ties. :D
